Tomie dePaola has published a NEW Strega Nona book -- and this may be the best, yet (that's my personal opinion, of course!) Working with Robert Sabuda and Matthew Reinhart of pop-up book fame, he has given us
Brava Strega Nona! A Heartwarming Pop-Up Book
And heartwarming it is, indeed! Those familiar with the Strega Nona stories will recognize some famous scenes...but everyone can appreciate the stunning artwork and, just maybe, will come to love Strega Nona as much as I do.

It's wonderful that your library is promoting pop-up books. And making pop-ups can be a great library workshop for kids. I've been teaching all ages how to make pop-ups for over 25 years, and have two books out on the subject, "The Pocket Paper Engineer, How to Make Pop-Ups Step-by-Step." It's an activity that is fun while it helps develop 3-D design skills and mechanical abilities. Carol Barton
Carol Barton: Thanks so much for your comment! We do have one of your books, The Pocket Paper Engineer, in our Library's collection. Thanks to your information, we will try to find and purchase the 2nd volume.
