STAMP OUT HUNGER TOMORROW



The National Association of Letter Carriers will hold their 18th annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive TOMORROW, May 8th. This is the largest one day food drive in the nation. It is easy to participate: just fill the bag, provided to you by your postal carrier, with canned food and other non-perishable items. Leave it out by your mailbox TOMORROW, May 8th! That's it! Help the NALC reach its goal of ONE BILLION POUNDS of food collected!

It is Springtime in the ELC!

We can tell it is Spring in the Early Learning Center when we start to find drawings like this one in the mailbox. Stop in with your preschooler and spend some time at the writing center drawing pictures and writing stories. Everything you do in the Early Learning Center together, helps your child build important early literacy skills.

We can't wait to see you!

Letter knowledge is knowing that letters are different from each other, knowing the names and sounds of the letters and recognizing letters everywhere. This is an important early literacy skill. What a lovely flower! A great reminder that Spring is almost here.

Today at 2pm, visit the library to see the puppets put on a show and then stay to play in the Early Learning Center. The puppets have been practicing for weeks and they can't wait to see you at the show!
